From July 1, 2025, the Australian Government will officially increase the mandatory minimum wage for foreign workers on skilled visas. This is part of Australia’s new Migration Strategy, aimed at ensuring that skilled worker wages keep pace with the average income of Australian workers.
Objectives of the Wage Adjustment
This adjustment aims to:
Reflect the average weekly hourly wage (AWOTE).
Prevent underpaying of foreign workers.
Ensure fairness for Australian workers.
Comply with recommendations from the National Migration System Review.

- Các hồ sơ đề cử mới từ ngày 1/7/2025 phải đáp ứng mức lương tối thiểu mới hoặc mức lương thị trường (annual market salary rate), tùy theo mức nào cao hơn.
- Thay đổi không áp dụng cho:
- Người đã có visa hợp lệ.
- Hồ sơ đề cử nộp trước ngày 1/7/2025.
